Resources

Wider reading is an essential skill as you become a more independent learner. It is particularly necessary at a time like this.

I would encourage you to take a cyber wander through the excellent resources on tinterweb which will enhance your knowledge and understanding of this subject.  These are resources that teachers use to complement their classroom practice.

Begin with the essential resource of media magazine

If you are struggling with academic theory then this site will enlighten you.

Here is a guide to making films by Mark Cousins on Vimeo
'It is called 40 days to learn film' which is a personal journey through film.  Another personal journey through the history of film is by Martin Scorsese which was released on DVD and is now on you-tube.

The Media Insider on you-tube is a teacher who has some excellent videos that will help you to develop your understanding of theory and key issues and debates.

Mrs Fisher is also really helpful.

Into Film offer some guides to film such as one on Kiki's Delivery Service if you like Studio Ghibli films.

And of course you have Tamworth TV
